Upper School: Butterflies, Grasshoppers, Dragonflies and Hummingbirds

Our Gardens

Elizabeth House is set in beautiful surrounding land. Access to outdoor learning is fundamental for children's early development. In each of our age groups, children will have dedicated time outdoors in our specifically designed gardens.

Lower School (under 2s) will enjoy their own garden space, away from the older children, where they can access age-appropriate and specially designed equipment and resources. This includes climbing equipment specifically for under-2s and a baby sensory garden.

Upper School (over 2s) access their own garden directly from their classroom. We encourage free-flow play and outdoor learning opportunities carefully designed by our teachers.

In addition to this, there is also a Bike Garden with a specially designed cycle path and the all-important Mud Kitchen.

Our Nursery 'Forest School' is a separate garden space and has been specifically developed for outdoor woodland learning.

Staff ratios and our Key Worker approach

Every child is allocated a Key Person. This allows your child to form a close bond with a particular member of staff who will be responsible for their overall wellbeing and progress and develop a special, nurturing relationship with your family. This will help your child feel more emotionally secure while away from home and will provide a reassuring person of contact for parents.

Each room also has a Room Leader who oversees all the children and provides an additional point of contact for families.

In our Preschool classes, the room leader will be the Preschool Class Teacher.
