Why Choose Us?
Deciding on a nursery for your little one is one of the most important decisions you will make as a parent.
Full time, year-round childcare
We understand the childcare needs that working parents have. Elizabeth House offers a variety of sessions to suit all families.
We are open 7:30am - 6:00pm Monday to Friday for 51 weeks a year.
Environmentally focused
We believe that our responsibility to your children goes beyond when they leave Elizabeth House. Our ambition is to run on solar energy and install EV charging points for staff.
A Tailored Curriculum
Education shouldn't just start when a child goes to school. We employ qualified teachers to implement a diverse, engaging and appropriate curriculum for our preschoolers. We believe this is the best method for educational success in the future.
In our Preschool, we use the Little Wandle phonics programme to give children the best start for School.
Famly App
Our parent app "Famly" will bring all the adults in your child's life together. Stay updated with your child's progress and read about their day as it unfolds. You will be able to track observations, messages and photos about your little one. This is also where you will be able to store key information such as medical needs and dietary requirements.
Breakfast Club
7:30am - 8:00am
Optional Breakfast Club is available to all children in both Lower School and Upper School every morning. This is a separate, chargeable club that must be pre-booked.
Discounts
Discounts available for the children of parents employed by the Armed Forces whilst they are deployed on operational tour or exercise. Please contact us for further information.
Nutritious, homemade meals
All our meals are made fresh from scratch on site using high quality ingredients to fuel your child throughout their day. We cater for all dietary requirements and offer a nutritionally balanced menu whilst also appealing to little palettes.
Our Core Hours include a morning snack, a hot two-course lunch and a substantial afternoon tea.
School Holiday Provision
Our care for your children goes beyond when they leave us to go to School. We will provide school holiday cover for children in Reception and Key Stage 1.
This will be available for children who were previously at Elizabeth House, and siblings of children currently attending.
We can also take ad hoc bookings to cover INSET days at local schools.
Stay & Play
5:30pm - 6:00pm
We understand that due to work commitments, some parents require a longer day. Stay & Play is available to all children in both Lower School and Upper School every evening. This is a separate, chargeable club that must be pre-booked.
High quality, qualified staff
At Elizabeth House, we believe our staff are our biggest asset. Our fees reflect the quality of care and education we provide and we only recruit the best. We believe that a happy staff body, where all feel nurtured and respected, creates happy children. Our staff are paid significantly above the industry standard to reflect the level of service they provide to families.
Nursery 'Forest School'
Our beautiful and extensive nursery grounds will allow all of our children to experience the wonder of outdoor education. We will have opportunities for children to grow their own produce and develop confidence and self-esteem whilst in a controlled environment.
Beautiful Surroundings
Elizabeth House is a stunning period property set in 11 acres of beautiful surrounding grounds. We will be developing the land to provide an exciting new Bike Garden, Vegetable Patch and Flower Garden for your children to enjoy.
We will also be creating a family picnic garden in the land adjacent to the Nursery for parents to enjoy the site safely with their children outside of Nursery hours.
More information about our gardens is available on the Our Rooms page.
The Barn Gym
We have partnered with The Barn Fitness Club, Cholsey where parents can receive a 10% discount off their gym membership if they have a child attending Elizabeth House.
This discount is also available for all Nursery staff.
